Due to a change in district policies, the Five Hawks student directory will only contain the information that you manually enter.

If you would like any of your child's information to appear in the Five Hawks student directory, please fill out this on-line form by Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017.

An Overview of the 2017/18 School Year from The Five Hawk’s PTC

Welcome and thanks for checking out our page! Our mission is to work together to enhance our students’ experience. We do this by providing needed funds, hosting events and programs that promote school spirit, helping and supporting staff, and creating a strong Five Hawks community through parent involvement.

One of the purposes of a PTC is to raise money for needs that directly benefit our students. Our school has needs that without the PTC would otherwise go unfunded. Recent purchases include our outdoor playground equipment, media center furniture, recess cart and equipment, art display boards, golf equipment and STEM activities. Every year each teacher, grade level, and specialist receive PTC money for needs throughout the year. We pay for a large portion of our ESTEM Education, as well as all class-level field trip transportation.

To achieve our financial goal, we are committed to NOT send home a bunch of order form fundraisers! Instead, our fall Read-A-Thon is our primary fundraiser. We also have our Silver Graphics Art Fundraiser, Family Restaurant Nights, and Family Fun Night on Saturday, March 3rd. We continue to run a strong General Mills Box Tops Program as well. Start clipping and turn in Box Tops throughout the year. We appreciate your support of these events!

The other, and equally important part of the PTC, is volunteering. We need your help with our programs and events. Please get added to the PTC volunteer email list by clicking on the link to the right of this page and watch for Schoology updates to get volunteer sign ups. And please let us know if there are any specific ways you want to help - we have many needs at our school and are committed to building a big base of awesome parent volunteers. Our Family Fun Night in March is our biggest volunteer event of the year…please mark your calendars! Thank you!

We appreciate our incredible Staff at Five Hawks so much and partner with them constantly through the year – from creating the Student Directory and Yearbook, to providing volunteers for Staff-led events, to various teacher appreciation efforts. We are all part of the Five Hawks family.

A full list of PTC events, including our monthly meeting agendas and minutes, can be found on this page. Please consider attending a meeting. It’s a great way to meet other parents. We will have a parenting topic and/or a grade level highlight in each meeting, so it’s also a solid parenting resource.

We cannot be successful without your help and participation!  Everything we do is to benefit our kids and Five Hawks.  We look forward to meeting you and seeing you throughout the school year!

The Five Hawks PTC is an organization that helps provide funding for activities and events that aren't covered by the school district. It's an official 501.3c non-profit, and all donations are tax deductible. It's run by parents (like you!), and are always looking for volunteers and ideas at the regular monthly meetings.
